Back in 2017, Hurricane Harvey stalled over Southeast Houston, causing widespread flooding. At the time, I lived a few hundred miles away, well outside the danger zone.
While the devastation of a city is bad, the larger asteroids (over 2 km in diameter) would have a worldwide impact. But what sort of impact would they have?
